The Springfield Falcons have been a part of the City of Springfield for almost 20 years now. The Falcons are coming off one of their strongest seasons in quite some time, finishing in 1st place of the Northeast Division but unfortunately fell short to the Syracuse Crunch in the conference quarterfinals.
The Springield Armor played their first season in Springfield in 2009. They are now entering their 5th season in the City of Springfield. The Armor, in their short stay as of now, have implemented a great brand association with the city of Springfield, mainly with their nickname , the "Armor." The mayor of Springfield, Dominic Sarno said, "Our City recognizes the importance of pushing ourselves into a more positive direction revolving around unity. The branding of having the Armor reflect our City's famous Armory founded by the great George Washington has had an instant positive effect on our people."
