One of the larger attractions for Springfield being elected the host City for the Championship would be the generated revenue for both the City and the NCAA. Brown Sports Enterprise has already been granted the usage of the MassMutual Center for the event. The MassMutual Center has a capacity of 8,000 seats. Having two semi-final games plus a championship game for both men's and women's, that totals 6 games. From seating alone, there is a possibility of have 48,000 seats filled through the duration of the Championships. That is only from the provided seats. We have been in contact with Rodger Crandall (CEO of MassMutual) and he brought up the possibility of rolling in bleacher seats to provide more seating for the fans adding up to around 50,000 seats being bought for the event. On top of that there is the revenue generated from concessions, merchandise, parking and hotels. Studies have proven that up to 70% of fans that attend sporting events purchase items from either concessions or merchandise. In addition, almost every fan will have to pay for parking. In terms of hotels, we have been in contact with many of the local hotels and if chosen to host the event they are willing to make discounted package deals with the NCAA and market them to the target market.
